Our Story
What Inspires Us to Inspire:
Hi. My name is Royalty. I was born with sickle cell anemia, so I have always gotten sick a lot. I had to have my spleen removed when I was three years old. I had gallstones when I was ten, and had to have my gallbladder removed. At twelve, I had my tonsils and adenoids removed, and a few months after that I was diagnosed with Acute Pulmonary Blastomycosis. I'm use to having surgeries, and I've had many hospitalizations, but when you combine sickle cell anemia and blastomycosis you really have to fight for your life. In fact, the two together are so rare I am the second person with sickle cell to be diagnosed with blastomycosis. The first was a young lady in Canada, and I thank God, as far as I know her symptoms did not present as bad as mine. I was so weak, tired, in the worst pain you couldn't even imagine, and I had so much nerve pain my legs trembled and shook so bad whenever I tried to stand or walk. Now, I am thirteen years old, but I will be on medication for the blasto until I turn fourteen. I have to have blood transfusions every month as long as I'm on the medication.I have to have physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiologist, infectious disease specialists to monitor the blasto (to make sure it's completely gone & not come back), pulmonologists to help keep an eye on the blasto plus manage my asthma, and hematologists to manage my sickle cell anemia. I've been asking the doctors to publish my battle with sickle cell and blasto. I want it published , so if other kids like me end up getting it they can have something to refer to if someone else like me gets blasto. Hopefully, it would allow doctors to treat them faster, and they wouldn't have to get as sick as I did. With all this illness, and all these doctors and appointments I start to feel overwhelmed sometimes. It will make you feel like what's your purpose in life. I try to be strong, and I know it could be worse. My mom always tells me that my trials are my testimony. I want to write a book along with my mom one day, but for now the purpose of this website is to inspire, and encourage others. My faith in God pushes me to live. It drives me to dream big. I am encouraged to encourage everyone in my path.

Hey guys! My name is Brilliancee. I love my sister so much, and it hurts me so bad when she is sick. It's hard for me to watch her be in so much pain. She always tries to be so strong for us. When my sister has to be in the hospital it breaks my heart when visiting hours are over, and I have to leave. I always end up crying and crying. Our mom has sickle cell anemia to, and I don't like what they have to go through. My mom, and my sister mean the world to me. I always wish I could take the pain away for them. I am so glad that they choose to fight. I know if they can do it then the rest of us can too. They inspire me to want to encourage the world.
Love,
Brilliancee Amillionaire 💜
