Reflection

Hey Gems and Jewels;

Christmas reminds us that God is never early, never late, and never careless with time. The birth of Jesus did not happen when the world expected it, wanted it, or even recognized it. It happened at the fullness of time, exactly when God knew humanity was ready, and at His appointed time.

For generations, people waited for the Messiah. They prayed, hoped, suffered, and wondered if God had forgotten His promise. Yet, He seemed silent, God was orchestrating history. When Jesus finally arrived, He did not come with urgency or spectacle. He came quietly, humbly, and precisely on time.

This is the nature of God’s timing. It often feels slow because we measure time by discomfort, comparison, and desire. God measures time by readiness, purpose, and fulfillment. What feels delayed to us is often God protecting us, preparing us, and aligning every detail for lasting impact.

Trusting God with the timeline means releasing the need to control when things happen and choosing to believe that God sees the full picture. Just as the world was not ready for Jesus a moment sooner or later than His arrival, your life is not behind schedule. God is working with intentional precision.

On Christmas morning, we remember that hope arrived not when people demanded it, but when God declared it was time. If God could be trusted with the greatest promise ever fulfilled, He can be trusted with yours.

Life Skill Tip

Releasing the Timeline Practice

This is a gentle exercise for surrender, not resignation.

Write down one thing you have been asking God to hurry.

Next to it, write this sentence:

God, I trust You with the timing, even when I do not understand it.

Now take one deep breath and imagine placing that request into God’s hands instead of holding it tightly yourself.

Trust grows when control is released.

Declaration

I trust God’s timing completely. What He has promised will come at the right time.

What Is a Declaration

A declaration is a spoken act of surrender that aligns your expectations with God’s wisdom. When you declare trust in God’s timing, you are choosing peace over pressure and faith over fear.

Declarations do not change God’s timeline. They change how you wait within it. Speaking truth aloud helps release anxiety, quiet comparison, and anchor your heart in God’s faithfulness.

Prayer

God, on this Christmas morning, I thank You for the gift of Jesus, given at the perfect time. Help me trust You with the timing of my own life. Teach me to wait with hope, not anxiety, and to rest in Your faithfulness. I release control and receive peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
