Key Scriptures: Luke 18:6-7
Luke 18:6-7 (KJV)
And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
Luke 18:6-7 (NIV)
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?”
Luke 18:6-7 (ERV)
The Lord said, Listen to what the bad judge said. God’s people cry to him day and night, so surely he will give them what is right. He won’t be slow to answer them.
Reflection
Hey Gems & Jewels;
In the previous lesson, we saw a widow who had to fight for the attention of a judge who did not care about her. Jesus uses this "unjust judge" as a contrast to God. If an uncaring, selfish judge can eventually be moved by persistence, how much more will your Heavenly Father; who is perfectly just and deeply loves you; act on your behalf?
The strength of your persistence is not found in your ability to "wear God down," but in your confidence that He is already on your side. Unlike the world, God is not an obstacle to be overcome; He is the Justifier who is eager to answer.
The key phrase in this scripture is "his own elect." You are not a stranger knocking on a door; you are a child of the King. When you cry out day and night, you aren't trying to change God's mind; you are coming into alignment with His heart. Persistence in prayer is the outward sign of an inward trust. It says, "I know my Father has the answer, and I’m going to stay right here until I see it." God is not putting you off; He is preparing you for the weight of the blessing that is coming.

Life Skill Tip
Practice The "Already Done" Mindset. When you are persisting in prayer for something, start thanking God for the answer before you see it. This shifts your energy from begging to expecting. Gratitude is the highest form of persistence because it proves that you believe the Justifier has already heard your cry.
Declarations
God is my Justifier and He is eager to help me.
I am the elect of God, and my voice is heard in Heaven.
I stand in confident expectation of my breakthrough.
My persistence is rooted in the love of my Father.
What is a Declaration
A declaration is a formal and confident statement of spiritual truth intended to align your spoken words with God’s promises, shifting your mindset and environment.

Prayer
Father, I thank You that You are not like the world’s judges. You are kind, You are patient, and You are for me. Forgive me for ever thinking that I have to beg for Your attention. I come to You today with a heart full of trust, knowing that You are working even in the waiting. I choose to stay persistent in my faith, knowing that Your justice is sure. In Jesus name. Amen.
