THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER: DAY 6; Fruit That Remains

KEY Scriptures:

KJV

Matthew 13:8

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Matthew 13:23

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

NIV

Matthew 13:8

Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop, a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

Matthew 13:23

But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

ERV

Matthew 13:8

But other seeds fell on good ground and grew and produced grain. Some plants made 100 times more grain, some made 60 times more, and some made 30 times more.

Matthew 13:23

The seed that fell on good ground is like those who hear God’s teaching and understand it. They grow and produce grain, sometimes 100 times more, sometimes 60 times more, and sometimes 30 times more.

Reflection

Hey Gems & Jewels;

Fruit that remains does not come from a moment, it comes from a prepared heart that stays faithful over time. Jesus makes it simple and steady, the good ground is not the loudest ground, it is the ground that receives, understands, and continues. Understanding matters because it keeps the Word rooted. Endurance matters because it keeps the Word growing when feelings change.

Real growth is often slow, quiet, and consistent. It happens in ordinary days, repeated choices, and unseen obedience. Fruitfulness is not always dramatic, but it is always meaningful. The seed does not rush, it remains, and that is why it multiplies.

And notice this, not everyone produces the same amount. Some yield thirty, some sixty, some a hundred, but all true good soil produces something. God is not comparing your harvest to someone else’s field. He is looking for lasting fruit in your life, steady character, steady faith, steady obedience, steady love. Fruit that remains is proof that the Word did not just visit you, it stayed with you.

Life Skill Tip

Choose one small “daily faith practice” and keep it for the next 7 days, no changing, no adding more. Example, read one short passage, write one sentence of what you learned, then pray one honest line about it. Steady fruit grows best through simple rhythms, not emotional highs.

Declaration

I am good ground.

I receive God’s Word with humility, I understand it with a willing heart, and I live it with steady obedience.

My life will produce fruit that remains, in God’s timing and by His strength.

Definition of a Declaration

A declaration is a faith statement you speak on purpose, based on God’s truth. It helps you stay aligned with what God says, even when your emotions, circumstances, or timeline feel uncertain.

Today’s Jewel Is EMERALD: it represents; life, growth, and restoration.

Why it fits today’s theme: “Fruit That Remains” is the evidence of real life in the soil of your heart. Emerald reminds us that lasting fruit is not forced, it is grown. When the Word is received with understanding and endurance, it produces steady spiritual growth, and over time God restores what was once barren into something fruitful and alive.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for planting Your Word in my heart. Help me to understand it, hold onto it, and live it with steady faith. Teach me to be consistent, patient, and fruitful in ways that honor You. Let my life produce fruit that remains. Amen.
