The third flavor of the fruit of the Spirit is Peace. In a world full of noise and chaos, peace is one of the most visible signs that the Holy Spirit is at work in your life. This isn't a peace that comes from everything going perfectly; it is a peace that stands firm when everything is falling apart. It is a sovereign peace that comes from knowing exactly who is in control of your life.
Peace is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of Authority. When we carry the peace of God, we don't just enter a room; we change the atmosphere of it. The strength of the small is found in the authority you carry. Because you are a child of the King, you carry a "Royal Peace." This means you have the spiritual authority to remain calm when others are panicking.
However, carrying this peace requires wisdom in your relationships. Loving someone does not mean you have to allow their storm to become your storm. You are not required to let people disrupt your mental or spiritual stability just because you are "at peace." You can maintain your royalty and your boundaries at the same time. You carry the authority to bring peace to a room, but you also have the authority to remove yourself from a space that refuses to honor that peace. If it cost you your peace it is too expensive.
Life Skill Tip
Practice “Atmosphere Shifting.” Before you walk into a meeting, your home, or a difficult conversation, pause and declare: "I carry the peace of God." By intentionally acknowledging the authority of the Holy Spirit in you, you set the tone for the environment rather than letting the environment set the tone for you. If someone tries to pull you into an emotional or financial drain, remember your royalty; you are a steward of God's peace, not a sponge for other people's chaos.

Help me to be a peacemaker, but also give me the wisdom to protect the peace You’ve given me. I refuse to let the chaos of others dictate my internal atmosphere. I choose to rest in Your sovereignty today, knowing that I am covered by Your royal grace, and You have blessed me with peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus name. Amen.
