Hey Gems & Jewels;
The fifth flavor of the fruit of the Spirit is Kindness. Now we shift from the endurance of patience to the active, outward-facing power of Kindness. In the Kingdom, kindness is not just being "nice"; it is a tactical, strategic expression of God's love in action.
While many people think of kindness as being soft or overly agreeable, Kingdom kindness is actually bold. It is the decision to treat others with the dignity they deserve as image-bearers of God, even when the world encourages us to be cold or indifferent.
It is a proactive choice to be a light in the darkness of someone else’s day. Kindness is the fruit that bridges the gap between what we believe and how we behave. It is the active ingredient in the life of a believer that causes others to see the Father’s character through us.
The strength of the small is found in the power of a simple, intentional act of kindness. However, remember that kindness does not mean you must forfeit your personal safety or integrity. Being kind is a reflection of your character, not a response to someone else's demand. You can maintain a kind heart while simultaneously holding firm to the boundaries that protect your spirit and your home. Just as a garden must have a hedge to remain protected, your life must have boundaries to remain healthy. Giving kindness to others does not mean giving them access to hurt you. You can be a vessel of God’s kindness while being a gatekeeper of your own peace.
Life Skill Tip
Practice “Intentional Kindness.” Today, do one thing for someone else that requires no recognition. It could be a thoughtful note, a small favor, or simply choosing a gentle tone of voice when you would rather be sharp. Remember, true kindness is a strength, not a weakness. When you offer it, do so with wisdom, ensuring your kindness is an investment in others rather than a drain on yourself.
