Scripture:
- KJV: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
- NIV: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
- ERV: “Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge. With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Reflection:
Life offers many paths, but the only one that matters, is the one that God directs. Too often, we rely on our own wisdom, leaning on experiences, emotions, or logic alone. But God calls us to trust Him with our whole heart. Wisdom is not about knowing everything; it is about surrendering everything to the One who does. When we acknowledge Him in every area of our lives; finances, relationships, and all decisions He promises to guide us. The path of wisdom is paved with trust, and every step we surrender leads us deeper into God’s will.
Declaration:
“I will not lean on my own understanding. I will trust the Lord fully, and He will direct my steps.”
Definition of Declaration:
A declaration is a bold statement of faith rooted in Scripture. Speaking it aloud is a way of aligning your thoughts and actions with God’s truth.
Prayer:
Lord, I trust You with all my heart. Teach me to acknowledge You in everything I do, and help me walk in the wisdom of Your ways. Amen.
Question:
Share your thoughts in the comments, or write in your journal: What area of your life do you need to trust God with instead of leaning on your own understanding?

Leaning to my own understanding could lead to failure because I can be wrong in the task that’s at hand if I seek the Lord for knowledge first I will be able to exercise the the knowledge that is expected of him and not of me
