Reflection

Hey Gems & Jewels;

Nehemiah was in a position of comfort as the King’s cupbearer, yet his heart was miles away with his people in Jerusalem. When he heard that the walls were broken down and the gates were burned with fire, he did not immediately rush to find a hammer. Instead, he rushed to find his Father.

The "Heart for the Rubble" is the first step in any divine restoration. God often breaks our hearts with the things that break His so that He can use us to build something new.

Before you can rebuild the walls of your life, your family, or your business, you must be willing to sit with the truth of the damage and bring it before God in prayer.

Bridge to Life Skill: True leadership and personal growth begin with an honest assessment of what is broken rather than pretending everything is fine.

Life Skill Tip:

The Power of the Pause

When you receive "bad news" or notice a "broken wall" in your life, practice the 24 hour rule. Instead of reacting in anger or panic, take 24 hours to process, pray, and plan. Nehemiah mourned for days before he acted. This prevents "emotional building," which often leads to shaky foundations.

Use this time to write down exactly what is wrong without any filter.

Declarations

I declare that my heart is sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I will not ignore the broken places, but I will bring them to God with confidence.

I am a builder, and my strength begins in the presence of the Lord.

I declare that my mourning is being turned into a blueprint for restoration.

Definition of a Declaration

A declaration is an official, formal, and confident statement of an intended state or a spiritual truth spoken aloud to align your reality with God's Word.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me a heart that cares. Help me not to run from the rubble in my life, but to bring it to You. Give me the grace to fast and pray as I seek Your strategy for rebuilding. Open my eyes to see the potential in the ruins. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Jewel: Ruby

What it represents: Vitality, passion, and the lifeblood of a mission.

How it fits the message: The Ruby represents the deep, red-hot passion Nehemiah felt for his city. It is the "heart stone" that fuels the energy needed to start a long journey of rebuilding.

Question

What is one area in your life today where the "walls" feel broken down, and have you taken a moment to truly talk to God about it?
