Scripture:
• KJV: “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.” (Daniel 3:16)
• NIV: “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.’” (Daniel 3:16)
• NLT: “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, ‘O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you.’” (Daniel 3:16)

Reflection:
Courage doesn’t always roar; sometimes it speaks with steady, unshakable confidence. When pressured to bow to the golden image, these three men stood firm. Their faith was not negotiable. True faith is tested when compromise seems easier. In our lives, “the idol” might be money, status, or relationships that pull us away from God’s truth. Refusing to bow may cost us opportunities or popularity, but it secures God’s favor. Bold obedience silences fear and proves our allegiance to Him.

Declaration:
“My faith will not bow to fear, pressure, or compromise. I stand firm in God alone.”
Prayer:
Lord, strengthen me to stand firm even when the world pushes me to bow. Let my faith be a witness of Your power and love. Amen.
Question:
What idols or pressures in your life are you refusing to bow to right now?
