We often allow our past experiences or the opinions of others to dictate our value and worth. This devotion reminds us of our true status in the Kingdom of God. When we understand our position as a royal priesthood it will change how we carry ourselves every day. When you do not understand your royal identity, you will consistently settle for less than what God has promised you.
You will look for validation in the wrong places, allow people to treat you poorly, and tolerate environments that are beneath your spiritual standing. But the Holy Word of God, explicitly establishes who you are the moment you belong to Christ: you are a chosen generation and a royal priest. You did not earn this status through any type of connections, nor can it be stripped away by any type of rejection. God chose you intentionally, called you out of the darkness of your past, and placed a royal crown of grace upon your life.
Carrying a royal identity means that your posture must match your position. You can no longer look at yourself through the lens of old hurts, betrayal, or disappointment. A royal priest does not beg the world for acceptance or live in fear of tomorrow; they stand firm in the authority of the King they serve. When you lift your head high and remember whose you are, you begin to operate with absolute dignity and grace in all of your daily interactions. You are God's special possession, designed to reflect His marvelous light. Walk in your royal authority today, know your immense worth, and let the world see the praises; and the glory of the One who crowned you.
