📖 Series Day 1: Faith in the Fire; Lessons from Daniel

Day 1: God Is With You in the Fire

Scripture:

KJV: “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” (Daniel 3:25)

NIV: “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.” (Daniel 3:25)

NLT: “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!” (Daniel 3:25)

Reflection:

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the furnace for refusing to bow to an idol. They chose faith over fear, even when it cost them comfort and safety. What they discovered is the same truth available to us today: God doesn’t always take away the fire, but He always steps into it with us. Notice the king saw four men walking in the fire, not three. Jesus was with them. Your furnace may be financial struggles, broken relationships, or overwhelming responsibilities. But you are never alone. God is not a distant observer; He is an ever present help who walks beside you. What was meant to destroy you will instead refine and reveal His glory in your life.

Declaration:

“I will not be shaken by trials. The fire cannot consume me because God is with me.”

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that I never face the fire alone. Give me courage to stand firm in faith and eyes to see Your presence in the middle of my trials. Amen.

What ‘fire’ are you asking God to walk with you through right now?
