Focus: Making room for God’s Word to take root
Key Scripture: Hosea 10:12
KJV:
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”
NIV:
“Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.”
ERV:
“Plant good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of my love. Break up your hard ground, because it is time for you to turn back to the Lord. He will come and make goodness rain down on you.”

Reflection
Hey Gems & Jewels;
The heart is a garden, and what grows in it depends on what we allow to take root. Every thought, every word, every decision plants a seed. Over time, those seeds produce fruit; either the sweetness of peace or the bitterness of pride. Before the Lord can sow His truth, we must first prepare the soil. In order to sow seeds of righteousness we need to walk in obedience to God.
Hard ground cannot receive new growth. Stones of unforgiveness, weeds of distraction, roots of fear, and the bitterness of hate choke the life that God longs to bring forth. The Holy Spirit gently invites you to surrender the hardened places of your heart. When you yield, He tills the soil with His mercy until it becomes soft again; ready to receive the seeds of faith, love, purpose and the rain of righteousness.
This is the work of intimacy, it’s the work of spending time with God; reading, hearing, doing, actually applying His Holy word to our lives daily. It is quiet. It is deep. It cannot be rushed. God does not plant in chaos; He plants in peace. The more we let Him cultivate the garden within, the more we will see His beauty bloom through our lives.

Life Skill Tip:
Take time each morning this week to “weed” your heart. Write down one thought, habit, or emotion that keeps you from peace. Pray over it, release it, and invite God to replace it with His truth. Spiritual growth begins with daily tending.
Declaration;
My heart is open soil. The Holy Spirit is free to plant His truth within me. I release every weed of fear, bitterness, pride, or hate and I welcome new growth that reflects the love and wisdom of God.
Prayer
Father, prepare the soil of my heart. Remove anything that resists Your Word. Teach me to rest in Your process and trust Your timing. Water my spirit with Your presence, and let every part of me bear fruit that glorifies You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Holy Spirit is trying to soften the anger in my heart. I find myself being mad at people and though my action may not reflect the anger my heart does carry and feel it. I am learning to not hold on to things that hurt or anger me because it doesn’t do me any better. No one changes just because i am angry and it doesn’t feel good to be angry so i am learning to let it go or not be angered at all.
